It was cleared up from the Sub-Directorate of Prosecution and Investigation of Crimes of Athens case homicide of a 31-year-old foreignerwhich happened on October 10 in his area Saint Panteleimon.
For the case were arrested on the morning of November 6, two foreigners, aged 29 and 38 years oldafter a coordinated police operation, while the case file includes one more person. The 38-year-old, in fact, tried to escape as soon as he saw the policemen, but was immobilized immediately.
The violent ambush and robbery
As it emerged from the investigation, the perpetrators had set up ambush on the morning of October 10. Initially, immobilized violently the 48-year-old roommate of the victim as he was leaving the house. They forced him back inside, where they tied him up, injured him with physical violence and sharp objects, and waited for the 31-year-old.
When the victim returned in the afternoon, the assailants attacked him, tied him up, punched him and fatally wounded him with a sharp object.
The motive for the attack seems to have been robberyas the perpetrators removed construction tools, electrical appliances from the house, while also breaching a safe.
The findings in the investigations
On investigations that followed to the defendants’ homes, the authorities located and seized:
- Clothing allegedly worn during the commission of the crime.
- Quantities drugs (106 grams of processed cannabis and a small amount of raw).
- Stolen tools and appliances.
- Arms and ammunition (one revolver, 40 rounds, one iron fist).
- Precision scales.
Those arrested are facing felony charges including murder, kidnapping, robbery, dangerous bodily harm and violations of drug and weapons laws, and have been taken to the appropriate Prosecutor.
