Despite the fragile truce in Gauze between the Israel and Hamas, the killing spree continues. Health authorities reported on Saturday (08.11.2025) that a Palestinian was killed by Israeli soldiers.
According to medical officials in Gaza, the victim was hit by bullets from Israeli soldiers east of Bureij refugee camp in the central part of the Palestinian enclave.
Further south in Gaza, rescue workers say another Palestinian has been wounded by Israeli army fire west of Khan Yunis, in an area already hit hard by fighting and shelling in recent months. The Israeli military did not immediately respond to requests for comment.
Three dead from drone attacks in Lebanon
At the same time, in Lebanon, the Ministry of Health announced that three people were killed and several more injured in Israeli drone attacks, according to the Times of Israel.
According to Lebanon’s official national news agency (NNA), two brothers from the southeastern city of Shebaa were hit while driving on the slopes of Mount Hermon. Their vehicle caught fire, killing them on the spot.
The Israeli military confirmed it carried out a strike near Shebaa, claiming it targeted and killed two “arms traffickers” belonging to the “Lebanese Resistance Forces”, an organization close to Hezbollah. According to the Israeli military, the men were involved in transporting weapons used by the pro-Iranian movement, in violation of ceasefire “arrangements” aimed at ending more than a dozen months of tension on the Israel-Lebanon border.
“The Israeli Armed Forces will continue to act to neutralize any threat against the State of Israel,” the IDF warned in a statement.
The Lebanese Health Ministry initially confirmed the death toll of two in Shebaa, before announcing another Israeli strike on a car in the southern Lebanese village of Baraachit, which left one dead and four injured. On Saturday morning, a similar Israeli attack on a vehicle near a hospital in the southern city of Bid Jbeil injured seven people, according to the same source.
These incidents highlight the persistent tension on two fronts – Gaza and Lebanon – where, despite ceasefire or de-escalation agreements, exchanges of fire and targeted strikes continue to cause civilian casualties and fuel the risk of a wider regional conflagration.
