Eight people were arrested in total for the serious incident with the student who after using drugs collapsed inside his school in Patras. Among them are both the 13-year-old student and two 15-year-olds who sold him the cannabis.
Everything happened at noon on Friday (07.11.2025) at a high school in Patras. After using the drugs, the student was found in the courtyard semi-conscious, with difficulty breathing and having convulsions. An alarm was immediately raised and the 13-year-old was taken to hospital in Rio. Since then he has been hospitalized and it seems that his health condition has stabilized.
Authorities immediately proceeded to investigate to determine who sold the drugs to the child and whether other students were using cannabis inside their school.
The investigation showed that the 13-year-old bought cannabis from two 15-year-old students for 15 euros. The police officers arrested both the minors (along with the 13-year-old who is accused only of use) and 5 parents of minors who are accused of neglecting their supervision.
The police also searched the homes of the arrested persons where 2 phones were seized.
Those arrested will be taken to the District Attorney of Achaia, while investigations continue in order to determine the source of the drugs.
