“He let me work in the mini market at the campsite. My mother wanted me to stop working and she had a fight with my uncle and godfather and they didn’t talk about it,” revealed the 17-year-old son of the 68-year-old campsite owner’s niece – one of her two victims double murder at Phoenician.
The 17-year-old seems to have had good relations with his mother’s uncle, whom he even called “grandfather“, but not always. According to him, their relationship had gone through various stages, while shortly before the double murder in Finikouda, the 68-year-old campsite owner had excommunicated him.
Live News presented the claims of the businessman’s 17-year-old grandson who had declared upset from the loss of his grandfather and godfatherwhile he emphasized that he was not at the campsite on the night of the double crime.
“A friend of mine sent me a message at around 21.00 at night while I was in Finikounda and I was walking in the park. I was there since 19.00 in the afternoon. At about 20.30 I went for skewers and continued my walk. I was with friends,” he described.
As he said, as soon as he learned about the crime he headed to the campsite and saw the policemen who had blocked the entrance. “As soon as I read the message (about the double murder) I ran to the campsite to to see if it is true and there I saw the policemen”, he added.
Relations with the 68-year-old had gone through various stages. Lately they’ve been good, although as his mother says, he had fought with the 68-year-old.
“The uncle be careful his family. Last year we moved with my family from Athens to Finikounda. He had let us stay in the house in Finikounda because we have financial problems. He let me work in the mini market at the campsite. My mother wanted me to stop working and he had a fight with my uncle and godfather and they didn’t talk about it. I did one diet and I had lost weight and she thought I lost weight from work. I was upset that I won’t see him again,” he revealed.
