On Friday (29.8.2025) all payments related to allowances of the Welfare Benefits and Social Solidarity Organization (OPECA) for the month of October, as informed today (29.10.2025) by the Ministry of Social Cohesion and Family.
OPECA benefits will be paid to 609,258 beneficiaries and amount to a total of 188,108,716 euros. OPECA payments include housing benefit, child benefit, birth benefit and disability benefits.
In more detail, they are paid:
- Housing Allowance: 175,148 beneficiaries – 20,915,876 euros
- Minimum Guaranteed Income: 159,472 beneficiaries – 37,040,658 euros
- Disabled: 200,370 beneficiaries – 94,063,944 euros
- Housing Benefit:516 beneficiaries – 171,683 euros
- Homogenous Allowance: 5,063 beneficiaries – 178,622 euros
- Allowance for Uninsured SeniorsLaw 1296/1982: 12,663 beneficiaries – 4,868,812 euros
- Social Solidarity Allowance for Seniors: 22,477 beneficiaries – 9,431,102 euros
- Funeral expenses: 71 beneficiaries – 56,760 euros
- Birth allowance: 10,259 beneficiaries – 13,637,450 euros
- Mountain and disadvantaged areas allowance: 3,727 beneficiaries – 1,908,000 euros
- Red Loans: 2,576 beneficiaries – 244,531 euros
- Protected children of victims of natural disasters: 21 beneficiaries – 21,000 euros
- Vulnerable Debtors: 337 beneficiaries – 36,053 euros
- Undertaking Allowance: 582 beneficiaries – 460,190 euros
- Personal Assistant Program: 2,205 beneficiaries – 1,721,171 euros
- Solidarity allowance for the Greek minority in Albania: 13,771 beneficiaries 3,352,863 euros

Total payments: 188,108,716 euros
Please note that A21 Child Benefit, Minimum Guaranteed Income and Birth and Adoption benefits are paid through prepaid cards.
