SYRIZA is falling apart
According to the news, the political scene in Greece is divided pollwith New Democracy maintaining primacy without showing a clear “air of victory”while PASOK continues to move steadily at a double-digit rate.
At the same time, the “grey zone” of undecideds widensapproaching almost the 20% of the electoratewhereas SYRIZA is showing significant attrition, losing almost two points in just one month.
According to the new survey by Interview for POLITIC, comparing the results with the September measurement, the New Republic remains constant at 23,8% (from 23.9%), the PASOK – Movement for Change in second place with 13% (from 13.2%), while Greek solution retreats to 6,4% (from 7.5%). The KKE there is a small decline in 5,8% (from 6.1%), while Freedom Sailing records a significant decrease in 5,4% (from 6.4%), indicating a loss of momentum after its summer rise.

Different trends are observed in the smaller parties: the Democracy Movement is kept constant at 4%h Voice of Reason increases to 4% (from 3.5%), the Day25 is marginally gaining ground in the 3,5% (from 3.4%), while o SYRIZA shows the biggest drop in 2,6% (up from 4.4%), reflecting continued disengagement from its traditional audience. At the same time, New Left decreases to 1,6% (from 2%) and the Win located at 1,2% (from 1.0%). The percentage of “Other parties» amounts to 9,2% (from 6.7%), while the undecided are thrown into 19,5% (from 17.9%), confirming the expansion of uncertainty in the electorate.


In the event that self-reliance is not ensured, the majority of citizens seem to prefer a repeat of the elections versus party partnerships. The 45% of respondents states that they would prefer new electionswhile only the 22% choose the ND – PASOK cooperationscenario that garners the most acceptance. The combinations PASOK – SYRIZA – New Left (9%) and ND – Voice of Reason (7%) follow with lower percentages, while the scenarios PASOK – SYRIZA, ND – Hellenic Solution – Voice of Reason and SYRIZA – New Left – MERA25 gather 3% each.


In the established political dilemma “Mitsotakis or chaos», the 42% of respondents answers “the chaos“, while the 30% chooses him Kyriakos Mitsotakis and one 28% states “Other”, with frequent references to party coalitions, world government or change of political leaders. The high selection of the “Other” category indicates that the appeal to fear or insecurity no longer persuades the majority, as a significant segment of citizens seeks more moderate and diverse forms of political representation.
