Italy: 41-year-old man slaughtered his 33-year-old ex-partner – She had taken off the monitoring “bracelet”

Shock to Italy causes a new one femicide! A 41-year-old man who had removed his electronic tracking bracelet stabbed his 33-year-old ex-partner to death with multiple knives.

Specifically, as it became known on Tuesday (28.10.2025) about the new femicide, in Castelnuovo Del Garda, outside Verona in northern Italy, a 41-year-old man of Brazilian origin, the Douglas Reis Pedrozomurdered his ex-partner, Jessica Strapazzolo Custodio De Lima33, also of Brazilian origin, with an “unspecified number of knives”.

According to the Italian media, the attacker called the carabinieri late on Monday night (27.10.2025), stating that he intended to kill himself.

A few hours later, the police found the woman’s lifeless body in her apartment, while the crime knife was found in Pedrozo’s car.

Jessica De Lima previously repeatedly accused her ex-partner of violent behavior, but later dropped the charges.

Last April, the court had issued a decision that prohibited Pedrozos from approaching within 500 meters of the woman’s home and workplace, while he was ordered to wear an electronic monitoring bracelet.

This decision was issued after the perpetrator was arrested on his own initiative for “assault in a public place”, during which he had hit the woman with fists and sharp objects.

During his latest arrest, the carabinieri found that Pedrozo was no longer wearing the electronic bracelet, which has so far not been traced.
