Rolling on Poseidon Avenue: The driver’s first statements – “I have an Albanian diploma, I don’t remember how it happened”

A nightmare scene unfolded at dawn on Poseidon coastal avenue when a car crashed into a pillar, causing the serious injury to two young men.

The 20 -year -old passenger was taken in critical condition to the hospital, while the peer driver is also hospitalized. According to Traffic, the driver did not have a driving license, and he claims he has a diploma from Albania.

In his statements to STARthe driver claimed to have a legal driving license, issued in Albania, and that he did not remember exactly how the accident happened.

Shortly before one in the morning, the car driven by the 20 -year -old, moving to the coastal avenue, escaped from its course and hit a light column. The impact was so severe that the car was converted into amorphous mass of iron, and various components were tossed at a long distance.

The ambulances and vehicles of the Fire Brigade rushed to the spot. Firefighters had to unload the driver from the debris, while the young passenger had jumped out of the vehicle.

Testimonies say that a deafening noise was heard like an explosion, while the image of the dissolved car predicted the worst. The driver acknowledged that the speed limit was likely to exceed.

The 20 -year -old passenger is in serious condition, while the driver gives different deposits for the accident conditions and the existence of or unlawful driving license.
