Weather: 24-hour bad weather is coming with storms, strong winds but also 30 days – With sun and heat, the parades on October 28

A paradoxical heat wave comes with the start of the new week, with Cairo not so reminiscent of Autumn, since despite the rains, storms and strong winds that will occur from tomorrow Monday (26.10.2025), the temperature in some areas it can even reach 30 degrees Celsius.

In Attica, Evia as well as in Crete, the weather will not resemble late October at all, since the temperature will reach 27 degrees. At the same time storms are expected in Macedonia, Thrace, Peloponnese, Thessaly and Dodecanese

Sporadic storms are mainly expected to occur from the early hours of the morning in the northern Ionian and Epirus and gradually in western Sterea, Macedonia and Thrace, while from noon the weather will improve, since the bad weather will only last 24 hours on Monday.

The weather will be spring-like from Tuesday, the national holiday of October 28, in most parts of the country. Parades will take place as usual.

For the rest of the week, the weather will improve and the temperature will rise slightly again. Rains will occur in the continental parts of the country, especially in Epirus, Macedonia and Ionia, on Friday.

“Storms in P”

According to a post by the meteorologist, Giorgos Tsatrafillias, bad weather is coming, which, however, will not affect the national holiday of October 28 and its parades.

“Storms on Monday (in P) with 30s… Parades without problems!

The upward trend of the temperature is in progress, with thermometers already reaching 30 degrees in Crete since yesterday. The high temperatures will be maintained until Monday in the eastern mainland and Crete (29-30 degrees Thessaly, Fthiotida, Boeotia, Peloponnese, 31-32 Crete).

At the same time, an express disturbance will cause rains and storms in the west, north and east of the Aegean, while southerlies will strengthen in the Aegean at 8 Beaufort.

Regarding October 28, the weather will be an ally for the parades,” writes the meteorologist.

The forecast for Monday (27/10)

In the west, central and northern clouds with local rain. Sporadic storms will occur from the early hours of the morning in the northern Ionian and Epirus and gradually in western Sterea, Macedonia and Thrace. The phenomena from the midday hours and from the northwest will gradually stop and the weather will improve.

The winds will blow south southwest 4 to 6 and in the Aegean locally 7 and temporarily up to 8 Beaufort. Quickly in the west and gradually in the rest of the areas will turn to west-northwesterly and weaken.

The temperature will mark a small further rise in the south, and will reach 23 to 25 degrees in most areas, locally in the central and south 26 to 28 and in Crete 29 to 30 degrees Celsius.

Attica
Weather: Scattered clouds, denser at times.
Winds: Southwest 3 to 5 and in the south 6 and temporarily up to 7 Beaufort. From midday and from the west they will turn west northwest to 5 Beaufort.
Temperature: From 15 to 27 degrees Celsius.

Thessaloniki
Weather: A few clouds that will quickly increase and there will be local showers and sporadic thunderstorms. Improvement is expected from early afternoon.
Winds: From southerly directions 3 to 4 and from noon north-northwesterly 4 to 5 Beaufort with gradual weakening.
Temperature: From 12 to 23 degrees Celsius.

Macedonia – Thrace
Weather: Cloudy with local rains and gradually sporadic storms. A gradual improvement is expected from the midday hours and from the west.
Winds: South southwest 3 to 5 and in the east marine-coastal sections 6 and fast to 7 Beaufort. From the midday hours and gradually from the west they will turn to west northwesterly and weaken.
Temperature: From 11 to 23 degrees Celsius. In western Macedonia 2 to 3 degrees lower.

Ionian Islands – Epirus – Western Mainland – Western Peloponnese
Weather: Temporarily increased clouds with local rain initially in the north and gradually in the rest of the regions. Sporadic storms will occur from the early hours of the morning in the northern Ionian and Epirus and gradually in western Sterea. From midday in the north and gradually in the rest of the regions, the phenomena will stop and in the late afternoon the weather will improve.
Winds: From south directions 4 to 6 Beaufort, will quickly turn to west northwest and gradually weaken.
Temperature: From 12 to 24 and in places in the south up to 25 to 26 degrees Celsius. In the interior of Epirus 3 to 4 degrees lower.

Thessaly – Eastern Sterea – Evia – Eastern Peloponnese
Weather: A few clouds that will gradually increase and there will be local rain until the afternoon hours.
Winds: South-westerly 4 to 5 and in the south marine – coastal gradually 6 to 7 Beaufort. From midday hours they will turn west northwest to 5 Beaufort.
Temperature: From 11 to 26 and locally in the south to 27 to 28 degrees Celsius.

Cyclades – Crete
Weather: Almost clear with a few local clouds.
Winds: South southwest 5 to 7 and from late afternoon west southwest 4 to 6 Beaufort.
Temperature: From 17 to 28 and locally in Crete up to 29 to 30 degrees Celsius.

Eastern Aegean Islands – Dodecanese

Weather: In the islands of the Eastern Aegean few clouds temporarily increased with local rains and sporadic storms from noon. At night the phenomena will stop.
A few local clouds in the Dodecanese.
Winds: From south directions 4 to 6, to the north 7 and temporary local to 8 Beaufort, gradually weakening from the afternoon.
Temperature: From 16 to 24 and in the Dodecanese up to 27 degrees Celsius.

Forecast for Tuesday, October 28

In the eastern island country increased clouds with local rain until the afternoon.

In the rest of the country, a few clouds in places increased mainly in the Ionian and the western and northern continental areas where there will be a few local rains until the afternoon.

Visibility will be locally limited in western continental areas during the evening hours. The winds will blow from west directions 3 to 5 and in the southern seas locally 6 Beaufort. From the afternoon they will turn to north northwesterly winds.

The temperature will drop and reach 21 to 22 degrees in the west and north, 24 to 26 degrees in the Aegean islands and 23 to 24 degrees Celsius in the rest of the country.

Forecast for Wednesday (29/10)

Generally clear weather in most of the country. A few clouds in the Peloponnese and partly cloudy until midday in places on the eastern mainland.

Visibility will be locally limited in the west during the morning and evening hours. The winds in the west will be variably weak, in the east they will blow from north directions 3 to 4 and in the Aegean locally up to 5 Beaufort. The temperature will not change appreciably.

Forecast for Thursday (30/10)

Generally clear weather. From noon and from the west, sparse clouds that will gradually thicken. Winds will blow in the west from south and in the east from north directions 3 to 4 Beaufort. The temperature will rise.

Forecast for Friday (31/10)

In the Ionian, western and northern continental clouds that will gradually increase and local rains will occur. In the rest of the country, sparse clouds, denser in places.

Winds will blow from south directions in the west 4 to 6 and in the east 3 to 4 Beaufort. The temperature will see a slight further rise in the east and south.
