Tension prevailed last night (25/10) in the area of ​​its center Heraklion where restaurants and ouzo are located, when a large group of masked people attacked the former minister and parliamentarian with eggs and insults Maki Voridis. Mr. Voridis was in a restaurant in the area with members of his family and friends, when shortly after 11:30 p.m. he was attacked.

In fact, some of the people who attacked him, they overturned tables, threw chairs, and bottles causing great disturbance to the patrons of the specific restaurant, but also of the nearby shops, as noted by the neakriti.gr.

Mr. Voridis and members of his family, they allegedly fled initially to a nearby store, until his safe departure from the area is achieved with the intervention of the police.

Yes, during the episode Mr. Voridis’ police officer was slightly injured in the hand and was taken to the hospitalhowever, after providing first aid, he left.

According to the police, four arrests were made, but their involvement in the incident was not established. The preliminary investigation is carried out by the Sub-Directorate of Prosecution and Investigation of Crimes of Heraklion.
