‘Much of mourning’
The 68 -year -old Terry Bagsby is retired, but helps a gas station’s cashier near the factory. He said that people in the narrow knit community are “very sad”. He said he knew people working at the factory and were among the missing.
“I don’t know how to explain it. Just a lot of lament, “he said.
According to the company’s website, its job is to process explosives and ammunition in an installation of eight buildings extending on forest hills in the Bucksnort area, about 60 miles southwest of Nashville. It is not immediately known how many people work in the factory or how many were there when the explosion happened.
In fact, of the 8 buildings of the facility, one was completely destroyed by the explosion.
Accurate Energetic Systems, based in nearby McEwen, said in a social media post on Friday that her “thoughts and prayers” are with the families and community affected.
