A new program opens up by the Ministry of Social Cohesion and Family (Ykissos) to support families children with disability or developmental disorders, bringing new voucher up to 800 euros in beneficiary parents.
Specifically, the provision of Voucher is part of the Pilot Program of Early Family Central Child Intervention (ESP) of Hokissos and is solely addressed to parents of children up to 6 years of disability or developmental disorders or are at increased risk of occurrence.
According to Ykissos, the applications of providers will begin on the third ten days of October 2025 and will remain open for 15 days. Immediately afterwards, in early November, parents – beneficiaries will open. The results and scoring are expected by the end of the year, after evaluating applications by EETA.
Parents of children have the right to participate:
- Aged 0 to 6 years.
- With a disability or developmental disorder (such as autistic spectrum disorder, mental disability, genetic syndromes, motor or sensory difficulties, speech and speech disorders).
- Or with an increased likelihood of developing developmental difficulties, based on medical or psychosocial assessment.
Voucher amount is differentiated according to the number of monthly sessions:
- 800 € / month for at least 20 sessions,
- 600 € / month for at least 15 sessions,
- 400 € / month for at least 10 sessions.
Each voucher of the new program funds sessions of early children’s intervention, offering parents guidance and counseling, as well as children with special therapies such as speech therapy, occupational therapy and physiotherapy. The package also includes training in sign language, supportive technology, mobility and adaptation of the child to the natural and social environment.
The aim of the program, funded by the Recovery and Resilience Fund with a budget of € 12 million, is to cover at least 2,500 children, offering them early and specialized care. Implementing Body is EETAA SA, which will develop the electronic hostel and will take over the management of the program.
