In the coming months, new development law regimes are expected to begin, mainly addressed to small and medium -sized entrepreneurship.
This was underlined by the Minister of Development Takis Theodorikakosin his address last night at the anniversary event to complete 100 years of action and offer of the Athens Chamber of Crafts and referred to particularly the regimes of extroversion and new technologies and their importance for the development of small and medium -sized enterprises.
The minister then referred to the modernization of chamber. As he noted, a dialogue with the Chambers is already under way and the legislation is expected to proceed early next year.
He pointed out that the Ministry of Development is underway to establish the new Consumer Protection Authority and market supervision, which will unify all control mechanisms into a modern and effective body and requested the support of the Chamber Community and political parties for the new independent authority, Consumer.
He then referred to the government’s decisions to support entrepreneurship and finally, referring to the front of the transparency, the minister underlined that 80m euros have already been recovered from old investment laws and added that the effort was continuing to refund from businesses without funding.
In the hundred years of the Chamber of Commerce in Crafts and Entrepreneurship, he referred to his speech, VEA President Konstantinos Damigos and stressed that “today’s administration has the honor of closing a century and open the next passion, the same values and the same values”.
With an active register of over 35,000 businesses from about 800 professions, the BEA, as he pointed out, remains the living voice of the people of production, craftsmen, creators and professionals who support the real economy.
The President emphasized that the Chamber remains steadily focused on supporting small and medium -sized enterprises, promoting actions for sustainable development, innovation and vocational training.

This was followed by the proclamation of former President Paul Ravanis, in honorary president of the Chamber, in accordance with his long-standing offer and awarded 10 Honorary Awards to VEA member businesses.

New logo
As part of the event, an anniversary video entitled “A Century Ahead” was promoted and the new logo of the Athens Chamber of Crafts was presented, signaling its modernization and its course to the future.
