It is 2,890 meters long and extends over Huajiang’s big gorge, also known as “the crack of the earth”, and is another addition to the rapidly growing infrastructure network of the second largest economy in the world.
“It will greatly improve regional connectivity and is a landmark project that highlights China’s innovation,” said Zhang Yin, head of the provincial transport.

The province also has almost half of the 100 tallest bridges in the world.
