Manhunt has launched the police to Mesolongi To identify strangers who opened fire on a project machine belonging to the Region of Western Greece.
The serious incident of the shots occurred on Wednesday night (08.10.2025) in the area of Pentalofos in Mesolongi, without fortunately, there were injuries, according to police.
As reported by nafpaktianews.gr and agrinionews.gr, the bulldozer was parked and out of service for projects to begin today (09.10.2025). The bullets caused damage to the windshield of the digging machine.
Aitoloakarnania Vice -Mayor Thanasis Mavrommatis confirmed that the Region would sue unknown, describing the attack “an unacceptable act of vandalism that will not go unpunished”.
Police are investigating the incident, collecting evidence and testimonies from the scene, with the aim of identifying those responsible and clarifying their motives.
At the same time, citizens who know anything relevant were invited to contact the competent authorities immediately.
