Theodoris Papadoulakis begins the creation of her film “Crucified again” which is the meeting of the beloved Haniotis director with the legendary work of Nikos Kazantzakis. Filming will even be done at Chania with the city turning into a complete cinema scene.
With great names in the cinema they will begin in Chania on October 20th the shooting of Thodoris Papadoulakis’ new film “Risen”, which will be a contemporary film cover in Nikos Kazantzakis’s book “Christ again”.
The key roles will be performed by Italian actress Fotini Poulouzos and Vangelis Moukou, Kika Georgiou and other well -known actors, and many Haniots have already been selected to perform roles in the film.
The shooting will take place in various places in Chania such as in the Old Town, the Old Port, the beach of Agioi Apostles and many more.
“How willing, or reluctant, is each of us to sacrifice his interest and bother for the common good?” It is the issue that the film deals with, according to the creators, “it is a loud and timely comment on the timeless brother -in -law of the Greek nation and its convenient subordination to the conqueror.”
It is noted that the film will be funded by Film Fund Luxembourg, directed by Thodoris Papadoulakis in co -production with Amour Fou Luxembourg in Luxembourg, The Piranesi Experience in Italy and Boycott Films.
