The south Lebanon was again hit by a plane bombardment of Israel On Monday (06.10.2025), resulting in the death of two people, according to the National News Agency in Lebanon (Ani).
Among the victims is Hassan Atui, who according to Israel was a senior Hezbollah official, head of the Shiite movement’s anti -aircraft defense unit in the Nabatiya area in Lebanon.
According to the Israeli army, Atui was a “dangerous terrorist” responsible for the reorganization and re -equipment of his unit, while maintaining direct contact with leaders in Iran to buy weapons. As Ani reported, he was killed with his wife, who was driving the car at the time of the blow. The agency recalls that he was seriously injured and lost his vision after the explosion of the Pagers used by Hezbollah in September 2024 – an attack on Mosad and caused 39 dead and thousands of injured, according to Lebanese authorities.
This new blow is noted despite the truce in force since November 27, 2024. Israel argues that it is targeting Hezbollah’s exclusive military targets, mainly in southern Lebanon, and according to the UN, more than 100 civilians have been killed since the start of the truce.
The Israeli army also announced two more air strikes in the Hermel mountainous area, northeast of the country, against “military bases of Raduan Force”, Hezbollah’s select unit in the Beka Valley.
Weakened by a war that has already cost more than 4,000 lives in Lebanon, Hezbollah, who has been a dominant political and military force for decades, is now undergoing intense internal pressure to hand over its weapons to the state.
The Lebanese army has already presented a draft gradual disarmament of Hezbollah since September, which is expected to be examined today at the cabinet in Beirut.
