To extend the sanctions Against the responsible for the destabilizing actions of Russia Abroad for another year, until 09.10.2026, the Council of the European Union (EU) decided today (03.10.2025).
The sanctions are extended in view of the continuation of Russia’s hybrid activities, including the manipulation and intervention of information from abroad (FIMI) against the EU, Member States and its partners.
Overall, the restrictive measures due to Russia’s destabilizing actions are currently applied to 47 natural persons and 15 entities. Registered persons are subject to asset freezing and a ban on EU citizens and companies from setting funds, financial or financial instruments or resources. Natural persons are also subject to a ban on travel, which prevents them from entering or passing through EU territory.
