In full swing is the bad weather affecting the country from Wednesday night (01/10), with intense phenomena in a large part of the territory. Rain and thunderstorms have already occurred in the Ionian, Northern Aegean and Continental areas, and forecasts will continue in the coming days.
The evolution of bad weather
Since Thursday night, heavy rainfall and thunderstorms are confined to central and eastern Macedonia and Thrace, while on Friday (03/10) they extend to the islands of the Eastern Aegean and the Dodecanese. The National Meteorological Service (NMS) refers to local powerful phenomena in Eastern Solidarity, Euboea, Sporades and parts of Macedonia.
Few snow is expected in the mountains of western and central Macedonia towards the end of the 24 hours.
Friday 03/10 – Heavy storms
Friday rains and thunderstorms are foreseen in Macedonia, Thrace, Aegean and Crete, and local phenomena will occur in the Ionian Sea and west. Gradually, in the morning, the phenomena are weakened to the north, but extend to a large part of the country until noon.
The temperature ranges from 2 ° C in western Macedonia to 24 ° C in Crete. The winds in the Aegean blow 4-6 beaufort (local 7), while 5-7 beaufort in the Ionian Sea.
