The phrasal attack on Saturday (30.09.2025) spoke the MEP of SYRIZA, Nikos Pappasrevealing exactly what happened to the young woman and the man with whom she ended up at the police station.
Speaking on Tuesday morning (30.09.2025), Nikos Pappas on the show “The Breakfast” of ANT1 described the incident, stating that he no longer has any intention of crushing people on the streets, while the MEP said he had withdrawn the lawsuit from the girl and intended to do so.
«We were in a restaurant with my company, a great company. Among them was my wife and some girlfriends who commented earlier as they came out of the shop, where there was a party. They were a little happier, more extroverted – they had drunk their drinks obviously – it came in an agitated way. They commented on me and at some point I was one and asks me what my name is because he apparently discussed it with his girlfriends. I didn’t like her gesture and I say to her “to tell you my name tell me exactly what you want because as you manage it somehow it offends me”. Okay we talked about the misunderstanding and the girl went and went on.
Then comes a man, a guy, who was definitely under the influence of alcohol, caused me, stuck my head, he said, “Come on in the corner to do, to sew”. Now not just a position, because of knowledge and experience, I do not get paved on the sidewalks. Caused my friends and my friends who were there“, Nikos Pappas clarified on the show by George Liaga.
“I called the police because I didn’t have the police officer with me. From the official section they sent some patrols, I think. I made my deposition, I sued for insult and threat, and the girls then told me that they didn’t even know the man, they saw him for the first time in their lives. He had some kind of prejudice with me or came for some other purpose. The girls were also suffering because they all came to the department. I withdrew the lawsuit from the girl who talked to me badly.
I wish the man from now on to work a little cooler and sober so he doesn’t get into trouble. I never released any property, I didn’t get rid of anything because they were very aggressive and there were people ahead. It is not my field neither the courts nor the police, I will withdraw the lawsuit. I have no intention of suffering any human being. Beyond that the incident is over“, Said the well -known MEP and former basketball player.
Finally, Nikos Pappas confirmed that he has moved forward to his personal life.
«I have made a cohabitation agreement“SYRIZA’s MEP said in the end, asking you by the journalist if he was married.
