The road to taking over the duties of Kimberly Gilfail at the United States Embassy in Athens is now open after her official swearing -in on State Department on Monday afternoon (local time).
The former prosecutor and popular presenter of Fox News, who maintains close ties with the Trump family, had been nominated for the post of US ambassador to Greece by President Donald Trump in December 2024. The ratification of her appointment by the plenary.
According to diplomatic sources, Gilfail is expected to arrive in Athens at the end of October, when she will officially take up her duties.
