Positions for Turkey, Gaza and Ukraine
In international developments, the prime minister reiterated that “the road forward is the dialogue, not the language of weapons”, calling on Turkey to withdraw Casus Belli.
He noted: “There is no excuse for the continuation of war”, stressing that Greece supports the solution of the two states.
For Ukraine, Mr Mitsotakis emphasized: “We cannot accept the violent change of borders by any revisionist force.”
Child Protection from Social Media
He also made special mention of children’s mental health, stressing that Greece is “pioneering the establishment of a digital adulthood” to protect young people from the dangers of social media.
The Prime Minister presented detailed government actions:
Housing: Return of rent up to 800 € from November, with about 1 million beneficiaries.
Education: Restore the “Digital Tutorial” for high school students and new educational programs to enhance trust in institutions.
Health: Consultation of a new bill on the NHS, while Greece was awarded by the UN for public health policies.
Rural Development: Measures for smallpox, with veterinarians and support of breeders with compensation of up to 250 €/animal.
Environment: Construction of waste treatment plant in Larissa.
Work: New 1,000 Disabled Recruitment Program in Local Government.
Safety: Creation of Police Groups in Roma camps and new psychometric examinations for safety personnel on the railway.
Digital State: Application of electronic pricing with the State (#Timologiob2G) and upgrade Gov.gr Wallet with new possibilities.
Artificial intelligence: OECD recognized Greece as an international example of responsible utilization.
