Mitsotaki – Erdogan’s meeting in New York – is being postponed to a new time for the next few days

Planned the scheduled meeting of Kyriakou Mitsotakis with Recep Tayyip Erdogan in New York.

According to government sources, the meeting of the two leaders will not be held today by the Turkish side’s request, due to the Turkish president’s participation in a meeting of the leaders of Arab and Muslim countries organized by US President Donald. The Turkish side argued that President Erdogan would delay at an appointment with the prime minister and called for a postponement for the next few days (more likely tomorrow, less likely tomorrow given the forthcoming Trump -Erdogan meeting). It remains to be seen whether the excuse set by the Turkish side is real – if a new appointment is immediately defined – or pre -emptive if not.

It is noted that Donald Trump has announced the Arab countries ‘conference in which Turkey was called and will evolve as Kyriakos Mitsotakis’ appointment was scheduled and with Recep Tayyip Erdogan.
So the Turkish side has been alerted and is now looking for a new time in the coming days in New York based on the program of both leaders.

It is recalled that the appointment was scheduled for today at 9pm at the so -called “House of Turkey” in New York as the first Greek -Turkish summary after last September.

On the side of the two leaders would be the two Foreign Ministers George Gerapetritis and Hakan Fidan, who however meet more regularly, both diplomatic advisers Miltos Nikolaidis and Akif Chagatai Kilits.
