Today’s day marks the starting point of our National Paligenia.

History, after all, teaches us that no obvious. National sovereignty requires alertness. It requires primarily power to defend it.
That is, it requires strong armed forces. Geopolitical reality confirms it daily.
Greece is in an area of complex and multiple challenges. From traditional military conflicts to hybrid threats, the security of the country requires a new strategic approach and modern means of multiplier power.
So Greece does not complain.
With “Agenda 2030” we implement the greatest reform of the Armed Forces in the history of the new Greek state:

- – We are upgrading our defense infrastructure.

The national anniversary coincides with the Feast of the Annunciation, with the Feast of the Virgin, the patron of our armed forces. Orthodoxy is, as I have repeatedly reiterated, the identity of modern Hellenism.
Only with the maintenance of the elements of our national identity, Greece will stand strong, stable and dominant, ready to meet the challenges of the times.
And it is these times that call us alert.
Today’s day is not just a memory day. It is mainly a day of responsibility. We must stand worthy of our ancestors with unity, with determination, with a strategic perspective.
The Armed Forces must remember that it is the foundation of the national security of our society. That is, the security of every Greek and every Greek.
