He lost the battle with life and 36 -year -old Maria, who had been seriously injured in fire that had erupted on the EGO stadium in Heraklion at the end of August. The unfortunate woman left her last breath at the Thriassian Hospital on Sunday (21.09.2025).
36 -year -old Maria failed and She succumbed to her wounds in Thriassio at the Latsio Burning Center of the Hospitalalmost a month after the deadly fire, plunging her family into mourning.

It all happened on the night of August 22 when at the EGOI locker room, while the 40 -year -old was with the 36 -year -old fire.

The Fire Brigade was called to the spot with five vehicles and 20 men. Firefighters entered the locker room and they found the woman in a semi -miracle state and made her safely out of the court.
There two ambulances arrived who received both of them and transported them to Heraklion University General Hospital (PAGNI) with doctors intubating them and introducing them to the Intensive Care Unit.
A few days later, 36 -year -old Maria was transported to the Latsio Burn Center at the Thriassian Hospital in Athens.
