Its chairman Ukraine Volodimir Zelenski addressed Sunday (23/3/25) calling for “pressure” to his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin to stop the blows in Ukraine, on the eve of the Russian -American negotiations in Saudi Arabia.
“Whatever our talks with our partners today, we must push Putin to give a real command to stop the blows: the one who started the war must end it,” Zelenski said in a post on social media.
The Ukrainian delegation in talks with the US in Saudi Arabia is as constructive as possible and the talks are useful, the Ukrainian president said.

“Our team is working in an absolutely constructive way. The discussion is quite useful, the work of the delegations continues,” Zelenski said In a television statement, referring to talks in Riyadh.
“It is clear to everyone that Russia is the only one that makes this war last,” he said.
“On March 11, there was a proposal for a truce without conditions and such attacks would have already stopped. But Russia is the one that continues all this. And every night, every day, it performs the most cynical attacks there,” the Ukraine president added.
“Without pressure on Russia, they will continue to despise real diplomacy and destroy lives,” he said.
“We started the meeting with the US team in Riyadh,” Ukraine Defense Minister Rustem Umero, head of his country’s delegation, announced earlier today. As he stated, “the agenda includes proposals for the protection of energy and basic installations”.
On Monday, Russian officials are expected to meet with US negotiators for separate talks.
Despite accelerating efforts to approach the positions of warrants on how to achieve a truce in the war that started by the Russian invasion of Ukraine in 2022, the battles continue with deadly blows both in Ukraine and Russia.
