With the “cruise I will go to you”, her auditors appeared again AADEwhich includes checks in vertices. After Santorini, this time they were found at Koswhere a coordinated operation was carried out by AADE scales with the support and cooperation of the island’s port authority.
The operation with the audits focused on seaside, performing daily mini cruises in seaside areas of Kos and to the neighboring islands, Pserimos and Kalymnos. The AADE auditors, coming from services outside Kos, boarded the coasts, representing tourists, buying tickets either through electronic platforms or in cash.
During the routes, they monitored the use of cash and POS and recorded the procedure of issuing evidence. Shortly before the cruise was completed, they revealed their status, presented service identities and control orders and proceeded with the imputation of violations.
At the same time, other auditors had requested and received from the Port Passenger Port Authority for specific periods of time. Following processing and comparing mydata and e-send data, significant discrepancies were found, confirming revenue concealment. The auditors waited for these ships upon their return to the port and enforced the projected sanctions.
A total of 8 days were checked. In 6 of them were found violations, with percentage of 75% offenses and on the multitude of checks.
Violations concern:
- Non -issuing evidence for sales of soft drinks, coffees and other items during cruise.
- Non-issuing tickets to passengers- tourists.
- Hide turnover and revenue, as evidenced by the intersections with digital systems.
The fines were imposed for these violations, while shipowners are controlled over time.
