The “bronze” of the national basketball team received a warm welcome in Greece – moving images with international families
Greece returned to the podium by conquering the bronze medal in this year’s Eurobasketby winning the national team Finland basketball 92-89, awakening memories of 2009 to all Greeks.
International basketball players of our national team were welcomed, upon arrival from Riga, Latvia. Wearing the bronze medals in the throat the Greek players returned to El. Venizelos and received bouquets and honors for their success at Eurobasket.
After 16 whole years, Greece’s national basketball returned to the top of Europe, winning third, following Turkey, which came second after the last year’s final with German champion.
In fact, from the speakers of El. Venizelos was heard the song “Final Countdown”, which has been combined with “Official Favorite”, from the time of Nikos Galis and the gold medal at the 1987 Eurobasket.
On the side of his international basketball, their families were found. Wives, children and parents of the national team players stole the impressions at the airport, who rushed to congratulate their loved ones on the enormous success and pride they gave across the country.

The last medal of national basketball “blue whites” was won in Poland in 2009 and was also bronze.
