In arresting five members of a criminal organization commit theft car In areas of Attica, ELAS proceeded.

The perpetrators were arrested on the afternoon of September 10, 2025, in the areas of Markopoulos and Keratea, and are 18, 24, 46, 47 and 60 years old. The operation was also attended by police officers from the Crime Prevention and Repression Team (OPKE).

According to the pre -trial investigation, the Group had been set up at least since early September 2025, with the main purpose of stealing vehicles from various areas of Attica. The team members falsified basic car traffic elements, such as the frame number and the plates, to give the vehicles legitimate and to sell them, gaining an illegal financial benefit.

In fact, the perpetrators had installed their houses externally with cameras image, overseeing the surrounding areas to identify any police presence and to avoid arrest.

During the surveys of the detainees’ houses, a carbine, hunting cartridges, a multitude of traffic tools, car keys, a large number of car accessories and four vehicles were seized. It is noted that three of the detainees had previously occupied the authorities for related offenses.

The detainees, at their expense, were taken to the competent prosecutor, while investigations are continuing to complete the criminal group’s action and any involvement of other associates.
