Turkish media welcomed Turkey’s triumph over Greece with enthusiasm, and the graphic headlines were not lacking.
The pro -government newspaper “Turkiye” has been referring to a historical qualification to Greece, as it is the second time it has been claiming the gold medal since 2001, and specifically writes that National Greece “ate Ottoman … cuff”.
“And Baklava ours and our final,” writes the front page of another newspaper.
