The US President Donald Trump will host his prime minister Qatar Mohammed bin Abdelrahman al -Thani by giving dinner to the Republican tycoon’s golf resort in New Jersey’s Bedminster, the White House said.
The meeting between Donald Trump and Qatar’s Emir comes three days after Israel’s unprecedented attack on Hamas leaders during their meeting in a residential complex in Doha’s heart.
Israel has caused the rage of many allies after this attack on the Capital of Qatar, a mediator in the negotiations for a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip.
Trump reserved a rare reprimand to the most loyal ally of the US, Israel, declaring “very unhappy” with Israeli attacks.
US special envoy Steve Witkov will attend the dinner with the US president and Prime Minister of Qatar.
Qatar’s prime minister ruled Wednesday that he was the Israeli counterpart of Benjamin Netanyahu who should be “brought before justice”, the day after Israeli aircraft in the Emirates capital with a delegation.
“I think what Netanyahu did yesterday was to kill all hope for the hostages” remaining in the Gaza Strip, Mohammed bin Abdulrahman al -Thani said speaking to CNN.
US Secretary of State Marco Rubio spoke earlier today with Qatar leader.
Rubio, however, will travel to Israel to assure the country for US support in view of the upcoming recognition by various states, including France, a Palestinian state at the UN General Assembly.
It will emphasize Israeli leaders “the (American) commitment to combat anti-Israeli measures, including unilateral recognition of a Palestinian state, which rewards Hamas’ terrorism,” according to State Department spokesman Tom.
