Gov.gr: Legal Entities and Citizens can sign documents through a new service

As of today (11/09/2025) its users gov.gr They have a new service (“digital certificate or co -signing a standard private document”) that is expected to change the way the documents are traded and signed in financial and administrative transactions.

The “Digital Certificate or Co -signing of a standard private document”, which is an extension of services “Digital Certificate of Document” and “Digital Certificate of Private Agreement”, It enables legal entities and citizens to work with greater digital security and convenience.

The main difference and innovation of the new service is that the document is created by the legal person, while to date the digital certificate has been initiated by a natural person who posted the document in the respective services of Gov.gr.

The first application of the service concerns documents that sign natural persons (insurance intermediaries, brokers, agents, insured and legal person representatives) in the context of insurance services. In the next stage, the service will extend to other sectors.

More specifically:

  • The legal person through his information system creates the relevant document, posting it in his service gov.gr and denotes the VAT of the individuals involved. Through interoperability, the document is posted on the citizen of natural persons to sign.
  • Then natural persons are linked to codes ΤaxisΝet In the “Digital Certificate or Co -signing of a standard private document” in the “Citizen and Daily” section and the “Digital Documents Gov.gr” in gov.gr and sign the document.
  • When the document is signed by everyone, it is sent to the legal system of the legal entity where it is issued.

Each document issued through this service is posted on the location of each signature on Gov.gr and in the Gov.gr Wallet. Bears a unique verification code, QR Code, as well as the advanced electronic stamp of Ministry of Digital Governance and Artificial Intelligence.

It should be noted that in order for a legal person to use the Service for the Single Digital Portal (Gov.gr-EFSP) private document for digital certificate or digital co-signing, he must apply to the Single Digital Gate Coordination Service (YSEP).
