THE HEDNO Press “Gazi” on the facilities of smart cashwhich aim to allow easy telemetry, put an end to the rheumatics and allow dynamic invoices.
According to a presentation by HEDNO yesterday (8.9.2025) at an event of the Energy Regulatory Authority (RAAE) at the TIF, 1.3 million smart meters have been installed to date. The rate at which they are growing is 50,000 each month, and in 2026 it will be doubled to 100,000.
Thus, HEDNO will be able to install 1,120,000 such systems in 2026, from 530,000 this year. The total for the years 2024 – 2026 will reach 1,870,000, covering one third of all consumers in the country.
Finally, it is worth mentioning that the ultimate goal is 7,638,000 smart meters by the end of the decade.
