Less than one year is left for those who have not already issued the new identities. The mandatory change of old identity cards has already been implemented and as the regulations say, old identities will cease to apply from the August 3, 2026.

How much will each citizen pay
A new identity is required to issue a new identity:
- Electronic fee 10 euros (Type of Paravas (4485) for the Bulletin Body, Printing and Personalization costs, as well as safe shipping costs.
- For chief (with evidence, eg luxury booklet), the fee is reduced to 5 euros (Type of Paragraph (4486).
- ELAS stamp 0.50 euros (Type of Paragraph 2043) pasted to the application
The e-hits must have been paid before the citizen visits the police station.
The new appointment system

How can you make an appointment
In detail the process of planning the appointment for new identities:
- The citizen selects in his application, issuing authority based on his or her permanent or temporary residence in Greece, a specific day and time from the availability list, to be served with a physical presence. Its details are automatically drawn by the Citizens’ Register and the National Register of Communication (EMP).
- In the event that his information is not up -to -date on EMP, he or she must either inform them on the spot or complete them according to a statement.
- Upon completion of the request, he receives an email with the basic information on the appointment of the appointment, as well as the contact details of the issuing authority he has selected.
- The appointment planning request may be rescheduled or canceled or re -submitted at the latest one (1) hour prior to the start of the scheduled appointment.
- At various intervals before the start of the scheduled appointment, the interested party receives a reminder message from the platform to the email he has stated.
In the event of the loss of or theft of the Identity Police Card, the citizen should contact the competent issuing authority on the basis of his permanent or temporary residence in Greece and request an appointment planning for the issuance of a new ID card.
