Theodorikakos: Greece’s strategic collaboration with the technological colossus Openai

Takis Theodorikakos, in the context of ratifying cooperation with Openai, emphasized that “the utilization of artificial intelligence is not a luxury but a prerequisite for progress and security for the country” and stressed that “Greece was chosen to be one of the first seven EU countries of the EU. which will host AI Factory, which confirms its role as an innovation hub in Southeast Europe. “

He then noted that in Thessaloniki the EKETA is based, “a great research center that starred in innovation and applied research in our country”, while also referring to Thessaloniki, reiterating his commitment that the Ministry of Development would ensure the necessary resources: which will make Thessaloniki a powerful Center for Technological Development for all of Europe. “

As Mr. Theodorikakos pointed out, collaboration with Openai is strategic and focuses on two pillars:

  • Education, with pilot programs that enable teachers to exploit artificial intelligence tools in the classroom, in a pedagogical and safe way;
  • The start-ups, with the creation of Greek AI Accelerator in collaboration with Endeavor Greece, which will provide Greek start-ups access to Openai technology, knowledge of international mentors and cooperation and funding networks.

“Today’s initiative opens new opportunities for the younger generation, but also for Greeks abroad who will want to return home. By actions, we make Greece more competitive, more productive and more innovative, “Mr Theodorikakos noted.
