Papathanassis: EUR 140 million invitations to strengthen RES energy promotion plans

Four invitations of EUR 140 million, to strengthen investment plans existing, young and on the recommendation of large and medium -sized businesssigned by the Deputy Minister of Finance, Nikos Papathanassis.

Invitations for the strengthening of businesses signed by Mr Nikos Papathanassis are aiming for promoting the production of energy from renewables (RES), renewable hydrogen and high -performance co -production in areas of fair transition of Western Macedonia & Megalopolis.

Specifically, invitations relate to:

1. “Strengthening youth investment plans and set up by small and medium -sized enterprises to promote renewable energy production, renewable hydrogen and high performance co -production in areas of fair transition of Western Macedonia & Megalopolis”

The budget of co -financed public expenditure is up to 40.000.00 euros

2. “Strengthening investment plans for existing small and medium -sized enterprises to promote renewable energy production, renewable hydrogen and high -performance co -production in areas of fair transition of Western Macedonia & Megalopolis”

The budget of co -financed public expenditure is up to 20.000.000.00 euros

The subsidized budget of each investment plan may not be less than EUR 500,000.00 and greater than € 12,000,000.00.

3. “Strengthening youth investment plans and under the recommendation of large businesses to promote renewable energy production, renewable hydrogen and high -performance co -production in areas of fair transition of Western Macedonia & Megalopolis”

The budget of co -financed public expenditure is up to 40.000.00 euros

4. “Strengthening investment plans for existing large businesses to promote renewable energy production, renewable hydrogen and high -performance co -production in areas of fair transition of Western Macedonia & Megalopolis”

The budget of co -financed public expenditure is up to 40.000.00 euros

The subsidized budget of each investment plan may not be less than EUR 5,000,000 and more than € 45,000,000. It is noted that the comparative evaluation will be implemented for the evaluation of funding applications.

Eligible expenses for the two invitations related to small and medium -sized enterprises

  • Expenditures necessary for energy production investment costs in the production of renewable energy sources, including heat pumps complying with Annex VII of Directive 2018/2001, Renewable Hydrogen and Co -producing high efficiency from renewable energy (reinforcement rate of up to 65% for small/small/low -performance, businesses)
  • Other expenses of Article 41 GAK not covered by the above expenditure (up to 50% aid rate for very small/small businesses, up to 40% reinforcement rate for medium -sized enterprises)
  • Personnel expenditure (employee employees with disabilities) (aid rate of up to 75% for very small/small businesses & for medium -sized businesses)
  • Expenditure on providing services up to 50% aid rate for very small/small businesses & for medium -sized businesses)

Eligible expenses for the two challenges related to large businesses

  • Expenditure necessary – for energy production – investment costs in the production of renewable energy sources, including heat pumps complying with Annex VII of Directive 2018/2001, Renewable Hydrogen and Co -producing high efficiency from renewable energy (aid rate up to 45%)
  • Other Expenditure of Article 41 GAK not covered by the above expenditure (aid rate of up to 30%)
  • Personnel expenditure (employment of workers with disabilities) (aid rate of up to 75%)

Investments that will be funded will boost economic activity to tackle the social, labor, economic and environmental impacts of the diploma and to support their transition to a climate neutral economy and a balanced and viable development.

The Deputy Minister of National Economy and Finance, Nikos Papathanassis, emphasized: “Following the government’s initiatives to support entrepreneurship and investment- more broadly and under the program of fair development transition- we are proceeding with new invitations of boosting investment projects by existing, new and under construction of large and medium-sized enterprises, this time to promote production. The aim, in addition to protecting the environment, remains the increase in income through the creation of even more jobs, the strengthening of sustainable growth and regional cohesion, the stay and the promotion of our fellow citizens, especially the young people, in their place. “

The Commander of the DAM Special Service, Pelopidas Kalliris, said: “Through the 4 new invitations to enhance the entrepreneurship of the DAM 2021-2027 program, published today, significant investments in new and dynamic areas of national importance can be funded. The purpose of these investments is to move our country to alternative, innovative and clearer forms of energy. At the same time, the economic transformation of lignite areas is further enhanced by creating new and well -paid jobs. “

The invitations are included in priority 1 “Enhancement & Promotion of Entrepreneurship” of the DAM 2021-2027 program and the special target of the Fair Transition Policy and are distributed 50% to the Western Macedonia ESDM and 50% in the MEGEM.
