THE Volodimir Zelenski said today 05.09.2025 that, after the end of the war with Russia, thousands of soldiers could be developed in Ukraine in the context of security guarantees proposed by its allies.
“It is important that we are discussing all this … We will definitely talk about thousands of soldiers, not just a few,” Volodimir Zelenski said after meeting with European Council President Antonio Costa in Western Ukraine. He noted, however, that it was too early to give specific details.
One day earlier, on Thursday 04.09.3035 the French President Emmanuel Macron announced that 26 countries have pledged to provide post -war security guarantees in Kyiv.
These commitments include an international presence on land, sea and air. Initially, Emmanuel Macron had stated that these countries would send troops to Ukraine, but then clarified that some would contribute in other ways, such as training and equipment of the Ukrainian forces, remaining outside the country.
On the same day, Russian President Vladimir Putin warned that any Western troops are deployed in Ukraine will be a legal target for Moscow.
In Ouzhod, Volodimir Zelenski also said that he coordinated with Antonio Costa the next steps in Ukraine’s accession negotiations with the European Union.
