The holidays at Africa did not go as they were expecting Greek travelers as they were involved in car accident in Kilimanjaro.
Their adventure did not stop there as 6 of the 8 members of the injured group found themselves in Kenya with two of them being hospitalized in serious condition after the car accident and needing surgery in the country of Africa.
The car accident occurred just 10 kilometers before they arrived at Kilimanjaro Airport to return to Greece, when the van carrying them collided with a tractor.
Vehicle drivers disappeared and left the two trapped two injured. They received help from passers -by while some attempted to exploit the situation and looted the things of the injured.
The injured were transported to Nairobi where there were a doctor who could perform the necessary interventions for the two most seriously injured. One injured man has been operated on, while the other refuses to undergo surgery in Kenya, with doctors not allowing them to travel by plane due to their condition and with the anxiety continuing.
Two girls who had not suffered a injury returned to Greece. Sources from the Foreign Ministry say the Greek Embassy and the Greek Consulate are informed daily of the health status of the two wounded.
