The target for loans of 150 billion euros to boost the European Defense Industry according to what the Commission has said today (29.8.2025) Ursula von der Layen Today (29.8.2025).
Ursula von der Layen, in her posting on X, said that a total of 19 countries, including Greece, have applied for support through the financial fund, to support their defense industry as part of Europe’s overall re -equipment effort.
“I am pleased to announce that we have reached the full subscription to Safe. The total of 150 billion euros. This is a European success, “the commission leader said.

More specifically, the post of von der Layen: “This is the logic of the $ 800 billion defense industry we have started jointly, and part of this plan is the common Safe supply of 150 billion euros.
