THE Avax announces the completion of the production station energy and the successful start and operation of the Besmaya power plant, 282.51 MW, in Baghdad.
With the delivery of the new power plant, the AVAX Group completes the third project in a series of energy station, sealing the long -term collaboration with the Mass Group Holding (MGH). The unit, which operates with natural gas and consists of a 9F.04 gases by General Electric, has been designed with a forecast for future upgrade in a cycle, with the aim of further enhancing the load produced and the relevant performance.
The new power plant, a budget of $ 82 million, will substantially contribute to the needs of the Iraqi National Power Network, especially during high demand. The new station in the Besmaya area is a project of high technological and manufacturing complexity.
This milestone highlights Avax’s strong project management skills, coupled with the technical superiority and dedication of specialized personnel engineers and construction sites.
It also confirms the company’s ability to deliver complex infrastructure energy projects to demanding environments and within strict timetables. This result reflects Avax’s commitment to quality and reliability.
Great energy work in Romania
Maintaining a long and successful collaboration with MGH, the AVAX Group has already delivered more than 3,430 MW installed to the company. This collaboration is continuing dynamically, as AVAX is currently implementing in Romania one of the largest, under construction, energy projects in Europe: the work of a 1,750 MW Mintia MINTIA cycle, a highly important project for Romania.
Completion of this flagship project will further enhance the overall installed power that has been delivered and will strengthen the stable relationship it has built over the years, the AVAX Group with Mass Group Holding.
AVAX Group President Christos Ioannou noted: “We are very proud of our highly trained team, which implemented a project of strategic importance and high demands. This success follows the two previous works at the same station, as well as the ongoing work of Mintia Power Plant in Romania. For this reason, I would particularly like to thank MGH for the confidence with which it surrounds us, entrusting us with the fourth project, which is a honor and responsibility for us. Through projects of such a scale we confirm our commitment to expanding the presence of AVAX in the global energy market, pursuing new successes, creating constant value and promoting sustainable development. “
