Zelenski: Turkey, Gulf states or Europe could accommodate talks with Putin

The president of Ukraine Volodimir Zelenski said today (26/08/2025) that Turkey, Gulf states or European countries could accommodate talks with the Russian president Vladimir Putin.

“Now, this week there will be contacts with Turkey, contacts with Gulf countries and European countries that could accommodate talks with Vladimir Putin,” Voludimir Zelenski told his evening video video.

“For our part, things will be prepared to the fullest extent to end the war,” he also stressed.

Zelenski made these statements as Ukrainian Property Officer Andriy Germak said he and the head of the Ukrainian National Security Council were in Qatar to meet with the country’s defense minister.

Zelenski has called for talks with Putin, but Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said the agenda had not been prepared for such a meeting.
