A man lost his life after an attack that launched the Israel in a village in south Syriaas the official SANA news agency reported today (26.08.2025).
According to Sana, “a young man was killed by an Israeli bombing of a house in the village of Tamaja, Syria”, in the Syrian Golan Highlands, part of which has been occupied and attached by Israel.
Yesterday, the Syrian Foreign Ministry spoke of a “military invasion of Israeli occupation forces in the Bayy Jin region” in southern Syria.
About 60 Israeli troops took part in the operation, according to the ministry, who denounced the “blatant violation” of the country’s sovereignty and condemned this “dangerous escalation”.
There was no comment by the Israeli armed forces on the attack.

Israel also said it would not retreat from its positions on the Syrian side of Mount Hermes and elsewhere along the border, amid reports of advanced conversations between Jerusalem and Damascus on the achievement of security arrangements along the sensitive border.
Defense Minister Israel Katz’s comments were made a day after Syria condemned what it described as a “dangerous escalation” by dozens of Israeli troops allegedly invading the east of the foot of Mount Hermes.
Syrian media reported new violence on Tuesday morning, as Israel allegedly bombed a house in the village of Tamaja, north of Kouneitra, near the border with the Golan Heights.
Since an Islamist coalition overturned decades of president, Bashar al -Assad, in December 2024, Israel has launched hundreds of blows in Syria technically in war, leading to a dialogue with the new authorities.

Following the fall of Assad, the Israeli army developed forces in the demilitarized neutral zone under the UN controller in the Golan Heights, near the section annexed by Israel in 1981. The two hostile US countries have begun.
On August 19th, Syrian Foreign Minister Assad al -Simban met with an Israeli delegation in Paris to discuss the “declining” between the two neighboring countries, according to Sana.
The talks discussed the issue of returning to the 1974 unraveling agreement between the two countries, based on which the neutral zone was created.
