Moments of horror, which will hardly erase from his memory, experienced a father on Sunday afternoon (24/8) with his baby, in his own house, when he suddenly found face -to -face with a ruthless burglaries, armed with a screwdriver.
It was shortly after 17:00, when the villain took advantage of her wilderness Apartment building on Antaiou Street in Galatsi – With most tenants on a summer vacation – and started breaking locks into apartments, grabbing money and valuables.
The moment he entered the first floor apartment proved dramatic: There, the owner waited for him, hugging his infant. Within seconds, the father was confronted with the threat of a sharp screwdriver, while his baby was in his arms unprotected.
The father, despite the absolute fear, did not retreat. He armed his courage and chased the burglar as the balcony. He, in his despair to escape, jumped into the vacuum – just to end up seriously injured on the ground, with multiple fractures.
Now immobilized on the road, the villain was arrested by DIAS police officers. who had already rushed to the spot. He was initially taken to the hospital and then handcuffed to the department.
An episode that could have evolved into a tragedy eventually ended up arrest. However, his father and infant will long carry the shock of a night that brought the nightmare into their own home.
