A huge sandstorm created a dust wall that swept the Phoenix in Arizona On Monday (25/8/2025), followed by severe thunderstorms that left thousands of homes without electricity and temporarily hired flights to the city’s airport.
The drivers who were also on the streets during the sandstorm in Arizona rushed to return to their homes in the midst of strong winds and rain, as this dense dust was very much limited to visibility.

In fact, more than 60,000 people remained without electricity on Monday night in Arizona, and in particular those in Marikopa County, which includes Phoenix.
