Giorgos Agorastakis: The President of the Pancreas Association of Friends Mikis Theodorakis passed away

The loss of George Agorastakis, a personal friend and close associate of the great music composer was known with deep sorrow. Mikis Theodorakis. George Agorastakis, who was also a guardian of the composer’s covenant, passed away at the age of 75, after a battle with cancer.

The deceased was an emblematic personality for Chania and Crete. As president of the Pancreas Association of Friends Mikis Theodorakis, he worked continuously to rescue and disseminate the creator’s spiritual reserves.

The news of his death caused a wave of condolences from the political and self -government leadership of Crete. His funeral service will be chanted today, Sunday, at the Church of Constantine and Helen in Nea Chora, Chania.
