The Greek Police has been in a manhunt to identify and arrest a 40 -year -old man who is alleged to be allegedly stabbed his 36 -year -old wife to death in Volos. The tragedy unfolded on Friday morning at the entrance of the apartment building where they lived, after a severe fight between the couple.
According to first reports, an eyewitness to the horrible crime was one of their four minor children, who he called for help. The child allegedly said to the authorities: “I saw Dad nail mom with a knife.”
The ambulance that arrived at the point found the death of the woman. The perpetrator escaped shortly after his act, and the lethal knife has not yet been found.
According to an official police statement, the 40 -year -old had previously been accused of joining a criminal organization and violations of drug law. In addition, he had been transferred to a clinic for a psychiatric examination just last June, where he remained for hospitalization.
The Volos Criminal Prosecution and Criminal Court is conducting the preliminary investigation, and ordered a necropsy-necrotomy to clarify the conditions of death. Police note that there was no previous history of domestic violence.
