Ukraine: Trump reacts after Russia’s US factory bombing

THE Donald Trump characterized Friday (22.08.2025) “unacceptable” the fact that the Russia It hit a factory owned by a US company in the city of Mukachevo, western Ukraine. Responding to journalists’ questions, he stressed that “he is not happy” for the continuation of a war that lasts for more than two years.

According to Kyiv Independent, the factory mentioned by Donald Trump belongs to the US company Flex Ltd. Russia attacked the premises on the night of August 21, less than a week after meeting Alaska between Vladimir Putin and Donald Trump. Flex Ltd. is American multinational and one of the largest subcontractors worldwide, with presence in Ukraine from 2000.

Decision on war within two weeks

Donald Trump also reiterated that he has given himself two weeks to decide the measures he would take against the conflict. “It will be a very important decision. It may concern sanctions, huge customs duties or both. Or we will do nothing and say, “This is your war,” he said.

These statements were made after his recent meetings with Vladimir Putin last Friday in Alaska, and Volodimir Zelenski on Monday at the White House. Trump wishes to bring the two leaders to the same table to put an end to hostilities, but such a meeting seems increasingly unlikely in the near future.

Finally, the president showed reporters a photo with Putin from their meeting in Alaska, clarifying that the Russian leader was sent to him. “I’ll sign it for him,” he commented irony.
