The time for its first race Super League 2025-26 arrived, with 14 Greek teams … falling into the “battle” for the new season in the Greek Championship, each having its own goals in the season.

The “menu” of the first racing
The first match of the new championship will take place in three … installments, as the premiere of the new Super League will start on Saturday night (23/8) and end on Monday night (25/8).
Like last year, this year the new league will start with two races. The new championship will take place at the same time on Saturday (23/8) at “Kleanthis Vikelidis” and “Georgios Karaiskakis” with the Aris – Volos and the Games Olympiacos – Asteras Tripolis (behind closed doors due to last year’s punishment of the “reds”).
At 22:00 on Saturday, Panetolikos will host Atromitos in Agrinio, while on Sunday (24/8) the program includes three other matches of the teams involved in the European Cup qualifiers. AEK will welcome Panserraikos at 20:15 at “Opap Arena”, while at 21:00 PAOK will host the AEL Tuba stadium that returns to the Super League this year.
The program of the 1st match will be completed on Monday (25/8, 19:30) with the game of Levadiakos with the other newcomer to the League, Kifissia.
‘Holidays’ in the season
As it was decided by the day of the draw (9/7) in the new championship there will be a total of six vacations: the four in September, October, November and March will be related to The international “windows” of national teams For the World Cup qualifiers and play -offs, one will take place in December for the Christmas and New Year season and another (shorter) Easter.

Super League format

If the Cup has secured a European qualification through the first four of the championship, the first of the 5-8 play-offs will get a “ticket” for the Second Qualifying League qualifier. As far as the play out for positions 9 to 14, they will be held with double matches, with the last two teams relegated to the Super League 2.
