Tomorrow the funeral of Apostolos Vesiropoulos in Veria

Apostolos Vesyropoulos passed away yesterday at the age of 59, from a heart attack, and was vacationing in Sithonia, Halkidiki, sinking his relatives and all those who worked with him during his political career.

A graduate of Public Schools of Higher Education Institutions, with financial studies in his biography, served in a number of positions of responsibility, including the Deputy Minister of Finance, responsible for tax policy and public property. In the past, he had served in the Local Government as a Prefectural Adviser and Deputy Mayor of Imathia, responsible for the Departments of Rural Development, Finance, Trade and Consumer Protection. From 2004 to 2008 he worked as a tax officer in Veria. He has been a member of the Board of Directors of the DAKE Imathia – Pella – Pieria, since 2010 he has been Vice -President of the Prefectural Steering Committee (NODE) ​​of Imathia of the New Democracy.

Apostolos Vesyropoulos was elected, for the first time, Imathia MP with ND in the 2012 elections. He was re -elected in both 2015 elections. In the 2019 and 2023 elections, he came first in a preference of MP in Imathia. In 2019, in the Mitsotakis government, Deputy Minister of Finance, Tax Policy and Public Property was placed. After the latest reshuffle of the government, he moved to the post of secretary of the ND parliamentary group.

Condolences for his loss he expressed the whole political world, with letters and announcements, as soon as his death became known.

He leaves behind his wife and two children. In a message, his family states:
