Investors are looking forward to Powell’s tomorrow’s placement at the Central Bank’s annual financial symposium in Jackson Hole, Wyoming. There, critical indications of interest rates may be given, while concern for persistent inflation remains intense. According to the CME Fedwatch tool, markets are valued at almost 80% to reduce interest rates at the next September meeting, according to CNBC.
Proceedings from the Fed meeting in July showed that policy makers are concerned about the labor market situation and inflation, although most have agreed that it was premature to start paying interest rates. Commanders Christopher Waller and Michelle Bauman have disagreed with the decision to maintain interest rates, which has been happening for the first time since 1993.
